The PAX East conference brought together a community of passionate gamers across tabletop, video and PC games. The turn out was fabulous (even on Sunday the lines were very long) and the gamer participation at the vendor booths was high. It was clearly an eye opener for me to see that the participants were really into gaming. There were lots of panel discussions and keynotes but the fun was at the exhibition hall, where people could see the new games, gadgets, and participate in competitions. As I could see, they were eager to share their experiences, show their skills, learn and have fun. Certain areas were dedicated for freeplay and tournament of all kinds – from tabletop to handheld to console to multi-player games.
It was more of a festival and less of a conference, where people had lot of fun, music and participation.
